The Marketing Mindscape (“we,” “us,” “our”) is a marketing strategy, consulting, and content resource run by Tim Monner. This policy covers themarketingmindscape.com and any information you share with us through it.
Information you give us. When you fill out our contact form, we collect your first and last name, email address, and the services you’re interested in. You can also choose to share your phone number, company name, website, whether you’re interested in collaborating, and anything you write in your message.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we collect basic technical data when you visit, including your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring site, and time spent on the site. This comes from analytics tools and standard server logs.
We don’t ask for, and don’t want, sensitive information such as payment details, government ID numbers, or health information. Please don’t send it through the contact form.
We won’t add you to a mailing list just because you contacted us. If we ever launch a newsletter, you’ll opt in separately.
We use Google Analytics (through Google Site Kit) to see how visitors find and use the site. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect usage data, which Google processes under its own privacy policy. Our site also uses functional cookies needed for things like caching and forms to work.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on. The site will still work if you do.
We don’t sell or rent your personal information. Period. We share data only with the service providers that help us run the site, such as our web hosting provider, email provider, and Google (for analytics). They may use it only to provide those services to us. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our users, or the public.
We keep contact form messages for as long as needed to respond and to keep a record of our conversations, typically no longer than three years unless we’re actively working together. Analytics data is kept according to our Google Analytics retention settings. When we no longer need information, we delete it.
You can ask us to:
Depending on where you live (for example, California or the EU/UK), you may have additional rights under laws like the CCPA or GDPR. Email us at tim@themarketingmindscape.com and we’ll respond within 30 days. We won’t treat you differently for exercising your rights.
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and up-to-date software, to protect your information. No website is 100% secure, but we take it seriously and limit what we collect in the first place.
This site is built for business professionals and isn’t directed at children under 16. We don’t knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child has sent us information, let us know and we’ll delete it.
We link to plenty of other places: former employers, media features, podcasts, and resources we like. We’re not responsible for their privacy practices, so check their policies when you visit.
If we update this policy, we’ll post the new version here and change the “Last updated” date at the top. Big changes will be called out clearly.
Reach out anytime at tim@themarketingmindscape.com or through our contact page. A real human (Tim) will get back to you.
